We stopped in Tucson for a couple of days because we were waiting for a part to be shipped to us for our screen door. We could not find it locally, so we had it shipped to one of our friend’s house. Several of the Colorado ladies have homes or park models in the Voyager RV Resort in Tucson. They graciously invited us over for a tour of the park and their homes. Julie drove over to the fairgrounds to pick us up. She drove us around the resort for an exclusive tour.
The Voyager Resort offers an active and community lifestyle of friendships and neighbors. It has an array of amenities such as swimming pool, pickle ball and tennis courts, fitness center and many more activities. The resort is also conveniently located to many of Arizona’s museums and parks.
After we toured the resort, we then stopped by each of the ladies home for a visit. What a treat and how nice that everyone welcomed us into their homes. Bobbi had a grapefruit tree in her backyard and we got to pick two enormous grapefruits!
They are the biggest grapefruits we have ever eaten and were delicious.
The last stop was at Julie and Sandra’s home where everyone would meet for pizza and beer! We discovered we really liked the local brew Kilt Lifter by Four Peaks Brewing.
It was a fun day and a great way to spend our last get together Saying our goodbyes was bitter sweet. We are happy to have met this special group of ladies at the rally in Quartzsite. We had a great time camping together, eating good food and learning to play Farkle! Hopefully we’ll get together again for some more fun and camping adventures!
